Who we are

Homeseeker Vacation Homes ("we", "us") manages vacation rental homes in Ontario. Our address is 18 Graydon Hall Dr, North York, ON. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Booking details: your stay dates, the home you booked, the number of guests, and messages you send us about your stay.
  • Your choices: whether you agreed to get emails or texts from us, and when.
  • Basic website data: when you submit a form on our site, our systems may record the date, time, page and technical details (such as IP address) of the submission.

We do not ask for payment card details on our guidebook pages. Payments for bookings are handled by the booking platform or payment provider you book through.

Why we collect it

  • To manage your stay and send you the information you need, such as your guest guide.
  • To answer your questions and help with any issue during your stay.
  • To send you offers and news, only if you have said yes.
  • To keep records we need for our business and to meet legal obligations.

Your consent

We ask before we send you marketing emails or texts. Emails and texts are separate choices; you can say yes to one, both or neither. You can still use our guest guide if you say no to both.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw your consent at any time: - Email: click "unsubscribe" in any email from us. - Text: reply STOP to any text from us. - Or email [email protected].

We will act on your request within 10 business days. We may still contact you about a stay you have booked.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as: - our customer relationship management (CRM) and email/text messaging provider; - booking platforms and our property management software; - people who help run your stay, such as cleaners or maintenance staff, but only what they need.

These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Our main providers are HighLevel (CRM, email and text), Hospitable (property management), Airbnb and Vrbo (bookings), Quo (business phone and text) and Google Workspace (email and files).

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. We remove marketing contacts after 3 years with no stay or activity. We keep booking and payment records for 7 years for tax purposes.. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so we don't contact you again.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. We limit who can see guest information, use password-protected business accounts, and never publish door or Wi-Fi codes on public pages.

Your rights: access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask questions about how we handle it. Email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
