Summer-Haze sits right on the shores of Moon River — one of Muskoka's most beloved waterways — with a genuine sandy beach, a dock slide, and a boathouse of water toys waiting at the end of the lawn. This five-bedroom, 3.5-bath retreat was designed for two families or one large one, sleeping up to eight adults in comfortable, thoughtfully arranged rooms across two levels.
Inside, a dining table that seats twelve anchors the main living space alongside a wood-burning fireplace and fully-stocked kitchen. Downstairs, a separate TV and games room with foosball table keeps younger guests entertained. Outside, the screened Muskoka Room provides a weather-proof spot to watch the sun travel west across the water all afternoon long. The town of Bala — with its boutiques, eateries, and the legendary Key to Bala concert venue — is a three-minute drive away. Torrance Barrens and Hardy Lake Provincial Park are close by for hiking and stargazing.

Had a wonderful stay at this well-equipped cottage! The space is cozy and full of thoughtful touches — plenty of board games, magazines, and books to keep you entertained. The indoor sauna was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The living room is super inviting, and the whole place is surrounded by nature, making it a peaceful retreat. The host was quick to respond and very accommodating. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and recharge!
What a beautiful property! The sandy beach was perfect for our little ones and the dock slide was a huge hit with the older kids. The sauna was a lovely way to wind down in the evenings. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The all-day southwest sun and stunning water views made it an absolute dream. Highly recommend for families.
This cottage completely exceeded our expectations. The water toys kept everyone entertained all day — the canoe, kayaks, and lilypad were fantastic. The screened Muskoka Room is such a great feature; we sat out there every evening watching the sun go down over the water. The firepit right by the lake was magical. Location is unbeatable — walking distance to Bala but totally private and peaceful. We'll definitely be back.
Great cottage on a beautiful part of Moon River. Lots of space for two families travelling together — the two-level layout works really well. The indoor wood-burning fireplace was perfect for our early-season stay and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking big family dinners. Communication from the Homeseeker team was quick and professional throughout. Would return without hesitation.
We came for a fall getaway and the cottage delivered on every front. The foliage over Moon River was stunning and the sauna was an incredible bonus for cooler evenings. Really appreciated that the cottage is on a year-round maintained road — easy arrival even with the weather. The hosts thought of everything and the property was immaculate. Can't wait to come back in the summer to try all the water toys!
